161 days have passed since I last posted about my writing progression. An inauspicious start to say the least.
But, today is July 1st and the halfway mark of the year. So with that, I announce my re-commitment to writing more in 2021 with my Mid-New Year Resolution. (That’s a thing, right?) There have been some going-ons behind the scenes that I’m not at liberty to reveal quite yet, but suffice it to say that they are very encouraging for me to get back to writing. I can say that it is rather exciting and my fingers are crossed that the end product will come to fruition. (Typing with crossed fingers doesn’t help my writing progress any.)
One avenue of writing that I’m exploring is Amazon’s new Kindle Vella program. Set to launch sometime this month, it’s a new storytelling option enabling U.S. based authors to publish serialized stories, one short episode at a time, and have them be available to readers in the Kindle iOS app and on Amazon.com. I’m going to test the waters with a previous project from my “I gotta get back to that one” files called Gritty Kitty: Half Passed Curfew. I retooled it a bit to suit the format and broke it down to snack-sized episodes to fit the format. I’ll be sure to alert the interwebs when it officially launches.
I also think that I may need to redesign this website. Yeah, that’s it. I’ll blame the aesthetics of this blog as to why it was neglected.
